SAN ANTONIO, TX, December 1, 2023 — Seasoned consumer research and product development expert, Martin C. Ruebelt, Ph.D, the Chief Scientific Officer at NatureSweet®, has been appointed to the Food Science and Technology Leadership Board at the University of California, Davis. The board is an external advisory group organized to support one of the largest undergraduate food science programs in the United States.

An accomplished scientific leader, Dr. Ruebelt has more than 20 years of experience in the agricultural industry. He has led NatureSweet’s innovation, research, and development teams for the last year and a half and his extensive leadership track record also includes roles at other agricultural companies such as Sensei Ag, Bayer, and Monsanto.

The UC Davis Food Science and Technology program plays an important role in the food and beverage industry and provides a solid education for future food scientists, cutting-edge research, industry outreach, as well as courses for professionals.
