Storage

Store at room temperature away from direct sun. Tomatoes are best within one week after ripening. Tomatoes taste best if not refrigerated; NatureSweet recommends refrigerating only if you can’t use them before they spoil.

Fun Fact

Did you know, tomatoes used to be classified as a fruit. However, when a tax was levied on imported vegetables, but not fruits, the case of whether a tomato was a veggie or a fruit made it all the way to the Supreme Court. It was ruled that the versatile tomato is a vegetable for its importance in everyday meals, and things haven’t changed, still in effect since 1893!
